We are a lively, friendly, informal, busy, outward-looking Baptist church with around 300 members situated in Poynton, located half way between Macclesfield and Stockport, in the North of England. Although known to the locals as a village, Poynton is in reality a small town with a population of between 14,000 and 15,00 people. Situated in the heart of Poynton, we are a family oriented Church reaching out into the local community through our Sunday services and work with children, young people and senior citizens. The first illustration was of a hard sponge onto which several doses of a coloured liquid were poured. The sponge was only partially coloured by the liquid and remained hard in those areas not reached by the liquid. The second was of a sponge totally immersed in the same coloured liquid. The sponge was completely coloured by the liquid and completely soft.
